Connecticut Homeowners
Designed around the home. Not around a sales pitch.
New Fairfield homes can vary significantly in roof layout, tree coverage, orientation, electrical infrastructure, and neighborhood requirements. Those details matter when designing a residential solar system.
Solara Solar is based nearby in Newtown, Connecticut and works directly with homeowners through design, permitting, installation, utility coordination, and permission to operate.
We also understand that some New Fairfield properties may have additional considerations such as homeowner association requirements. Matt's project is a good example of why experience and communication matter when a project requires additional documentation and specific installation details.
The goal is not simply to install panels. It is to design a system that works for the home and the homeowner.

Matt's New Fairfield Solar Project
“We just completed a 10 KW install on my house in CT with Quinn and Jason at Solara. As someone who has been in the solar industry for almost 20 years, but not in the residential solar market anymore, I was very happy with how this turned out. While process took a while as we needed to work with my Homeowners Association before getting any other approvals, Solara stuck with it and was able to provide all the additional documents and backup documentation that were requested/required for the approval. Once we had the HOA's approval, they were able to quickly get the approvals with the Utility and Town. To complete installation they were able to get a few add ons that I requested, which was having the wire run to my electric panel inside my house(instead of run on the roof) or hidden behind some existing landscaping(also a HOA requirement) and for adding on the critter guard and trim kit around the panels.”Matt New Fairfield Homeowner
Solar can require more than a standard installation.
Matt's project required coordination with his homeowners association before the usual town and utility approvals could move forward. The project also included specific requests for how wiring was routed and how the finished array looked.
The finished system should work for the home. Not just the plans.
A thoughtful installation considers both system performance and how the equipment integrates with the property.
From the first design through permission to operate.
Solar is more than installing panels. Solara Solar coordinates the major steps from initial design through final utility authorization.
